Semicon Southeast Asia 2025 – Singapore
From May 19–22, the Brabant Development Agency (BOM), in collaboration with Brainport Industries and the Netherlands Embassy in Singapore, organized a business mission including a Netherlands Pavilion at SEMICON Southeast Asia in Singapore. Sixteen companies from the Dutch semiconductor sector showcased their innovations at the pavilion. In addition, the Dutch delegation included 15 more companies that participated in the mission as visitors.
With a total of 70 participants, this was the largest Dutch semiconductor delegation ever for a business mission of this kind — a milestone to be proud of!
The official opening of the pavilion was conducted by Minister Dirk Beljaarts of Economic Affairs.
The program included company visits, networking events, B2B matchmaking, innovation and business conferences and active participation at the trade fair through the Netherlands Pavilion.
Based on the feedback received from participants, we can confidently conclude that this was a highly successful mission. Participants gained valuable insights, new leads, and meaningful contacts. It was a busy, yet above all inspiring and insightful week that clearly highlighted the opportunities Singapore has to offer.
Entering the Singaporean market requires a clear strategy.
It became even more evident during the visit to KLA, where Senior Vice President Theo Kneepkens challenged everyone to reflect on the right considerations and strategic choices for future plans in Southeast Asia. A tailored approach — not just high-level, but aligned with a company’s specific strengths and characteristics — is essential when entering this market.
60 Years of Bilateral Relations Betwen the Netherlands and Singapore: Now is the time to build on that foundation
Doing business in Singapore means investing in relationships, mutual trust, and shared value creation.
The Netherlands and Singapore share a solid foundation of 60 years of bilateral relations, during which both countries have consistently found each other for collaboration.
This business mission clearly showed that Dutch companies recognize this potential and are increasingly forming partnerships. The Netherlands’ strong reputation can be a powerful asset when building relationships with Singaporean partners.
By celebrating 60 years of bilateral relations and visiting Singapore with a large delegation, we are underlining the importance of the region.
Jelmer Hemmes, Project Manager International Trade - Asia at BOM
Our partners in Singapore place equal priority on this relationship and recognize its strategic value for the future.
With the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two countries, we are committing to deeper collaboration between companies and key stakeholders in both nations — focusing on knowledge exchange, policy development, talent cultivation, and research.
Activities such as this business mission help bring the ecosystems into more frequent and meaningful contact, paving the way for long-term partnerships. This mission builds on national collaboration efforts and contributes to the sustainable development of our advanced manufacturing clusters.
