Trade mission “Dual-use” Germany
The changing security situation in Europe requires a stronger European defence industry to provide us with the necessary military capabilities. The geopolitical reality calls for decisiveness, innovation, and collaboration, as Europe must take greater responsibility for its own defence. As natural cooperation partners, the Netherlands and Germany play an important role in this regard. North Brabant and Baden-Württemberg have maintained strong governmental and business relations for many years, leading to successful commercial and innovative collaboration. We aim to expand this strong partnership into the defence and security domain. Dutch companies, knowledge institutions, and government bodies have expressed a strong need to jointly explore the German defence market. For this reason, the Province of North Brabant and the Brabant Development Agency (BOM) are organizing the business mission “Dual-use Technologies for Germany.”
Objectives of the Business Mission
- Explore the German defence and security industry and identify opportunities for innovation and commercial collaboration;
- Gain inspiration and exchange knowledge on dual-use technologies and innovations with German technology companies;
- Position Dutch companies as potential technology, development, or production partners for German defence OEMs and tier-one suppliers;
- Provide insight into decision-making processes and procurement and innovation agendas within the German defence sector.
